Cristiano Ronaldo acknowledges £17m fine and two-year suspended prison term for tax avoidance


The Portugal universal had officially concurred an arrangement to pay the fine in the wake of confessing a year ago to charges brought by Spanish state examiners and expense experts.

He seemed loose as he touched base at court with his Spanish fiancee Georgina Rodriguez, grinning and marking a signature on his way in.

Judges had declined his demand to show up by video o3r to enter court by means of a back passageway.

Ronaldo – who presently plays for Italian side Juventus – went through around 45 minutes in the court fabricating yet his hearing kept going just a couple of minutes.

After formally tolerating the arrangement offered by examiners, he consented to the arrangement to pay the fine of about €19m (£16.7m).
